More fun with October afternoon

Ok, i guess i've only made one layout that featured mostly this line... but here it is. there's a bit of Prima spaceboy mixed in there too.

Fun with October Afternoon

I know that Viv tried to carry this in her store, but being it's October Afternoon, of course there was problems. Pretty sad since October Afternoon is one of my fav manufacturers. *sigh*

Anyways, I was really anticipating these lines and wanted to share some of the layouts I created recently with it:

and I can't WAIT until the new lines come out, especially Cherry Hill!

Some fun stuff using some new American Crafts!

I recently got some fun new American Crafts paper and embellishments. I loved the bright colors in them, perfect to brighten up the winter blues here!

The line is called 'Teen', but as you can see here it can be used for so much MORE then that. I used the patterned paper (my fav is the crowns, they are glittered!), the Flair, the ribbon, and the journaling stickers all from that line. Mixed in some older Thickers and I was set.

So...here's what I made:

I'm strictly and 8.5x11 scrapper, but as you can see I like to mix it up and do landscape layouts too. I just add them all in the same album and don't care if they match up or not! lol!

Anyways, I'd love to see what you've all done recently!

Working Hard On Valentine's Day Themed Stuff

Hey There,

If you've been in any of the craft stores lately you will know that they already have the Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's displays and supplies everywhere!

One of my New Years resolutions for 2009 is to start on my projects early enough to actually enjoy the holiday or occasion. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely enjoy the process of gathering ideas, designing and creating my projects, actually most of the time creating truly relaxes me, but sometimes if I haven't finished said gift or project I find myself losing the joy that the gift of creativity brings!

Anyway, in keeping with the upcoming observances here are a few projects I am working on:

Valentine's Day Projects

Altered Journal

Post-It Note Holder

Altered Acrylic Photo Holder

Holiday Creating - Christmas Gifts: Altered Personal Journals, Post-It Note Holders and Gift Card Holders w/ Matching Ornaments

Hello ScrappersX Blog Readers,

It’s been a few weeks since my last submission due to a very busy Christmas and New Year’s. This year I wanted to give meaningful personal handmade gift to my family and friends straight from the heart. Below are some of the gifts I created:

One of the Ornaments

Inside each one of the Gift Card Holders is a blessing and the scripture John 3:16

Close-up of one of the Gift Card Holders

Six of the 16 Gift Card Holder w/ matching ornaments. Each of these have a theme based on a Christmas hymn.

One of the 12 Post-It Note Holders I created.

Just a few of the 12 small personal journals I altered.
Thank you for checking out my work!

Layout Design Plan

Hello All,

Since I am often asked how I come up with my layouts/projects I've decided to share the "Layout Design Plan" form that I've created and use on a regular basis. This form not only helps me create, but also repeat favorite layout designs without stress. The form has room for:
1) layout type
2) inspiration (theme or content)
3) picture
4) journaling note
5) embellishments
6) start & completion dates
7) duration to complete the layout/project
8) cardstock/paper line or manufacturer
9) room for 1" x 1" swatches
10) and a sketch

My whole layout design plan I used to sketch and create my scrapbook pages.
